On Friday, April 15, 2005, we will celebrate the inauguration of Chancellor Robert J. Birgeneau as part of the 137th Charter Anniversary Celebration. This event will be a splendid occasion for honoring the past of the University of California, Berkeley, for savoring the achievements of the present, and for planning an even more distinguished future with Chancellor Birgeneau at the helm.
There will be Alumni, Faculty, Staff, and Student Processions at the opening of the ceremony. The pageantry of the Inauguration Ceremony begins at 2:00 p.m. in Zellerbach Auditorium. We look forward to celebrating the installment of Chancellor Birgeneau with you and hope that you renew your commitment to this cherished public university through involvement and celebration.
